The “Penthouse Garden Suite” in the Axel Vervoordt style

The “south and north wing” on the eighth floor: Discover our newly designed “Penthouse Garden Suite” in the new part of the building. The 350-square metre suite encompasses the entire eighth floor and is surrounded by a spacious roof terrace with spectacular views over Munich. The terrace has climbing plants all around it and its cosy sitting areas are perfect for relaxing. The suite features two luxury bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with adjoining bar, a spacious dining and living area with fireplace and a cosy sofa. The spa area with sauna, steam bath, massage and lounge area as well as a cardio cross-trainer and outside hot tub complete the penthouse. All exterior walls are panoramic windows which fill the rooms with natural light and afford breathtaking views over the city.

The suite features a discreet and understated design in light natural and earthy tones. This was done to underline the suite’s sense of space and overall feel, to create an area of tranquillity and comfort for the guest. The finest linen was used for the bed linen, sofas, armchairs, chairs and cushions. Each piece of furniture made from reclaimed wood is unique and was given an artistic overhaul.

Each of the lamps, designed by the Japanese ceramic artist Kosi Hidama, is also a one-of-a-kind and made in Vervoordt’s workshop in Gravenwezel near Antwerp. The walls were treated with a wipe technique and earthy coloured paints were used; in combination with the double floor-to-ceiling windows, this creates a very warm atmosphere.

The bathrooms feature natural Valverde stone and clear forms. The design of the rooms echoes the philosophical principles of Wabi: Beauty is found in imperfection and authenticity, Artempo – where time becomes art, and natural materials that are rich in spirit. Each room captivates with its inherent uniqueness, simplicity and tranquillity.

Enjoy a night in your “Penthouse Garden Suite” surrounded by the Axel Vervoordt style. Take advantage of our private check-in; our receptionist will accompany you to your suite, where you check in. You are also welcome to check in early or check out late – subject to availability. For each overnight stay, you will find fruit and chocolate, champagne and a small gift in your suite. The minibar has a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks which are included in the price. The next morning you can enjoy your favourite newspaper. In addition, you can enjoy our champagne breakfast from the buffet exclusively for you in our private rooftop garden lounge or in your penthouse. We will also spoil you with a classic massage, on request either in your suite or in our Blue Spa. The oils we use for the massages are made by hand using fresh, certified organic ingredients and lovingly packaged with blossoms, herbs and labels. We serve your afternoon tea including a selection of sweet and savoury pastries in your suite or, on request, in the atrium. Your private driver and butler is available at any time on request and for a surcharge.

The walls feature light natural and earthy tones while the antique and minimalistic furniture was brought back to life. Overall the walls and carpets on higher levels are designed in lighter tones.
