A full moon night on a beach that still remembers the glow of the day; the sweet pain of remembering a lost love; a dancing couple doing their rounds in a dark corner, oblivious to the world. All this is Bolero, its essence. Now brought to life in the nightclub by the velvety, beguiling voice of Lipa Majstrovic and the sometimes rhythmically pulsating, sometimes melancholically dreamy piano of Tizian Jost. That's all it takes to capture the essence of the bolero, these songs that originated in Cuba at the end of the 19th century. Lipa Majstrovic, who was born in Paris, grew up in France, Croatia and Spain and is known for her versatility, interprets this musical cosmos from the great era of the bolero just as authentically as Tizian Jost, a highly esteemed performer on the European jazz scene, exceptional pianist, jazz professor and great connoisseur of South American music.
