Josh Smith got his first guitar at the age of three. His first great love then was the blues, a love that grew with B.B. King, Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker and Albert King and has only grown stronger to this day. As a 12-year-old, Smith was already performing at professional blues jams in Florida. At 13, he became lead guitarist of the Rhino Cats and played with greats such as Jimmy Thackery, Kenny Neal and Tinsley Ellis. He released his first album at 14, his second at 15 and had his first custom-made guitar built at 17. After graduating from high school, the first tours with his band Josh Smith and the Frost followed. In 1998, at the age of just 19, he was invited to play as support for his hero B.B. King. Since then he has been touring continuously as one of the most prominent bluesmen. Solo, with his band or alongside colleagues such as the R'n'B singer Ricky Fante, the rapper Benny Cassette, the actress Taryn Manning, the American Idol winner Taylor Hicks or the neo-soul trailblazer Raphael Saadiq. He even performed with Mick Jagger at the 2011 Grammy Awards! Clear the stage for the miracle of the blues, the nightclub belongs to Josh Smith!
