After the blues with Josh Smith, the journey continues. The Swedish pianist and composer Jacob Karlzon has long since played his way into the front row of European jazz pianists with fourteen of his own albums, as accompanist to the singer Viktoria Tolstoy or through collaborations with stars such as Dominic Miller. Few are as technically gifted as the classically trained Karlzon, few are recognizable after just a few notes, few love live improvisation as much and few raid pop and rock genres as consistently. As he is currently proving in the all-star quartet Portable Infinity, in a duo with percussionist Rhani Krija or with his new band Questar. At the Nightclub - where he already played his first concert after the corona break - he will be performing with his absolute “working band”, the perfectly coordinated Wanderlust-trio with Morten Ramsbøl on double bass and Rasmus Kihlberg on drums.
