Ludwig Seuss returns to his roots on his latest album "The Boogie Men": classic boogie woogie. He started with it over 40 years ago, when he became a local hero as a schoolboy with the band Creepy Layne. He continued as one of the "magnets" of R'n'B guitar god Nick Woodland and then, from 1987, as keyboardist for the Spider Murphy Gang and co-creator of their Bavarian rock'n'roll. Above all, however, he and his band are the outstanding local representatives of New Orleans and Southern music. On 16 albums to date, he has paid homage to the blues in all its shades on piano and keyboards and occupies an exceptional position in Europe as a zydeco virtuoso on the accordion. You can now hear a bit of everything at the Bayerischer Hof. Not least in the direction of soul, thanks to special guest San2, one of the best German vocalists and blues harp virtuosos of this genre.
