The second evening of the Organ Summit will focus more on blues, R&B, soul, and roots music. Ludwig Seuss is best known as the keyboardist for the Spider Murphy Gang and through his own blues band. There he plays everything from boogie-woogie piano and funky keyboards to the accordion, on which he has made a name for himself as a master of Zydeco, the Cajun music of the American South. Many years ago, he also recorded groundbreaking organ albums (“Organized”) and established himself as one of the best in his field in Munich at the time. A long-time companion is guitarist Titus Vollmer, whose sons are now shaking up the scene themselves. Elias Vollmer, who studied piano in Leipzig with jazz pioneer Michael Wollny, is also part of the band. However, due to his love of blues and soul, he has also perfected his playing on the Hammond organ, as can now be experienced at the Night Club.
